Rikki Hewitt is a printmaker and artist based in the UK. His work explores the potential of abstract image-making. Swinging between minimalism, abstract expressionism and adopting elements of European folk art.

As a keen sketchbook keeper, his practice is informed by the imagery and written observations he collects. After stockpiling symbols, icons, and interpretations of his environment he embarks on a process-led approach to making prints.

He lifts traditional print techniques to investigate the interaction between colour and form. Shapes, compositions, and arcing themes often present themselves through intuitive mark-making and collage.
